Exuviance CitraFirm Face Oil Review

I’m always excited to see the word “Firm” in the name of a new skincare product. Because, well … couldn’t we all use a little bit of that?

When I was given the opportunity to try the NEW CitraFirm Face Oil from Exuviance, of course I eagerly accepted and immediately began using it after it arrived. I’ll have more on that in a bit but first, for those of you who are not familiar with Exuviance, here’s a brief bit of history on this Brand.

Exuviance skin care is a dermatologist developed skin care line born from decades of research. It was created by the scientists who first discovered and patented Glycolic Acid and the original Glycolic Acid Peel. Today, Exuviance skin care has perfected the science of skin transformation by delivering full-strength anti-aging benefits without irritation. Their products are clinically proven to reduce lines and wrinkles, increase firmness, smooth texture and even skin tone.

Quite impressive, wouldn’t you say?

Now back to the CitraFirm Face Oil! What exactly is it and what does it do? Let’s take a closer look.

What Is CitraFirm Face Oil & Who is it For?

Exuviance CitraFirm Face Oil is formulated to target the skin’s natural collagen and lipid barrier for a firmer look. CitraFill® plus a blend of Vitamins F, A, C and E and light botanical oils work together to target visible signs of aging while conditioning skin and defending against environmental stressors that can accelerate the look of skin aging.

It can be used on all skin types, including dry, lackluster skin or skin experiencing a loss of firmness.

As many of you know, I prefer science over hype. I’m a big believer in using skincare products that contain anti-aging ingredients that pack a punch with research to back it up. So naturally, the first thing I did after receiving this face oil was to have a look at the ingredient list.

I know we’re off to a good start when I read the ingredient list and I don’t have to ask my good friend, Google what the heck they all are!

Ingredients

The list of botanical oils included in this formula is impressive. The 7 light botantical oils include: Rosehip, Apricot, Cranberry, Marula, Argan, Grapeseed and Jojoba. All of which are deeply nourishing and beneficial to the skin.

The face oil also contains 4% CitraFill, a nonacid Citric Acid compound that targets the skin’s natural firming collagen and a 4.5% level of Vitamins F, A, C & E. These vitamins condition the skin and defend against environmental stressors that can accelerate the look of skin aging.

CitraFirm Face Oil is chock full of good for your skin ingredients. In my humble opinion, this face oil gets an A+ on the ingredient report card!

Formula & Application

CitraFirm Face Oil comes packaged in a heavy duty, durable glass container with a rubber top that includes a dropper. The consistency of this face oil is not heavy, it’s very lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin after applying. It has a lovely light fresh, citrusy scent. The scent doesn’t linger and quickly disappears after applying.

To apply, you just massage a few drops (I use 4 drops) onto a clean face day or night. If you like, you can also apply it to your neck, decolletage, cuticles and backs of hands.

Benefits & Results

The clinical results on CitraFirm Face Oil found that of 30 women who used the product twice daily for 4 weeks:

It gives my skin an immediate glow and I’ve seen improvements in the texture and smoothness of the skin on my face and neck. And O.M.G, it has done wonders for my cuticles! A very pleasant side benefit that I wasn’t expecting!

As a side note, I find that the oil provides enough moisture on it’s own for my combination skin. Therefore, I do not apply a moisturizer on top of it. Now keep in mind that the humidity here in South Carolina is like 110% right now so that may not be the case for you. Depending upon your skin and other factors, you may or may not need to follow with a moisturizer.

CitraFirm Face Oil retails for $72.00 USD for a 0.95 fl oz jar. Used daily, morning & evening, this is enough for an 8 week supply.

Final Take

Overall, this is a good, quality face oil that I am enjoying using. It passes my ingredient test and has improved the texture and overall appearance of my skin. It makes my skin glow AND has been a manicure in a jar for my cuticles! Certainly, if you’re looking for a skincare product that will provide moisture, improve the skin’s texture and smoothness and firm the skin, this is one worth considering adding to your skincare routine!
