I REALLY wanted to love this! But we don’t always get what we want! More about that in a minute… But first, let me start on a positive note about the Flower Beauty Lift & Sculpt Contouring Palette.
As with most of the products from the Flower Beauty line, the packaging is beautiful. This palette includes a bronzer, highlighter and blush and comes in two shades. Flower Beauty describes this palette as “the perfect all-in-1 tool to define your face in a flash and your great one-stop-shop to get a flawless contoured look“.
The Flower Beauty Lift & Sculpt Contouring Palette is available in Light to Medium & Medium to Deep. Both look really pretty in the packaging. Light to Medium includes a bronzer that looks pretty neutral, not too warm or too cool, a bright pink matte blush, and a champagne-toned highlighter. The “Medium to Deep” version has a darker bronzer, a peach blush and a golden highlighter. The price tag was not too bad so I went ahead and purchased this palette in the light to medium shade (pictured below) for my fair skin.
Did I mention I wanted to love this, but…? Here’s my honest review of the Flower Beauty Lift & Sculpt Contouring Palette.
I was disappointed in the color of the bronzer. In the package, it appeared to be a nice neutral shade that was not too cool or too warm. Sadly, when I applied it to my fair skin, it was orange and streaky! Ughh… I didn’t like the color at all. On darker skin tones, it might work. Fair skinned gals, you’re probably not going to like it. The blush is a pretty bright pink shade with a lot of pigment which I do like. The champagne toned highlighter gives a soft sheer glow.
This palette is a soft, powdery texture and it kicks back a LOT of excess powder. I found even lightly tapping the brush into the product produced a lot of kickback and quite frankly, a mess. The blush powder mixed in with the highlighter and bronzer and vice versa. And both the blush and bronzer are difficult to blend. The highlighter blends well and is the best part of this palette.
The price range of the Flower Beauty Lift & Sculpt Contouring Palette is $12.98 – $14.00. If this was a jam up palette, that would be an excellent price. In my opinion, the quality of this palette doesn’t justify the price. There are other affordable drugstore contour palettes in a similar price range that are much better quality.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend the Flower Beauty Lift & Sculpt Contouring Palette. I don’t think this a reflection of the entire Flower Beauty line as there are other products from Flower Beauty that I have tried and absolutely love. Sadly, I think they just got it wrong with this one 🙁
See the bottom of this post for the Flower Beauty products that are worth trying and other drugstore contour palettes that I’ve tried & love.
