LBK Nail Lacquer Review

You’ve had one of the moments where you think to yourself, “Why didn’t I think of that?”, Right?  This is one of those moments!  Say hello to LBK Nail Lacquer Polish and their patented flip-up cap that lets you test the nail polish color against your skin tone!  The special flip-up cap looks like a nail tip.  It is painted with the actual nail lacquer so that you get a true color swatch.  Simply flip-up the nail and slide your finger underneath to see how the color will look against your skin tone.  Brilliant!

Who else is thinking… YAY!  No more sneaking a swipe of the nail polish on the store display & hoping nobody saw you doing it??

Vegan Nail Polish from LBK Nails
OMG Why didn’t I think of that? The patented flip-up cap from LBK Nails is brilliant!

LBK Nail Lacquers comes in 46 beautiful shades.  I recently had the opportunity to try 4 shades from LBK, Sweet Carolyn, a true blue red, Danyelle’s Desire, a beautiful hot bubble gum pink, Nancy So Fancy, an eye-catching pink and Kylie, a soft french pink.  There’s an interesting story behind the names of the polishes.  More on that in a minute.

But first, a bit about the brand, the polishes and how they perform.

LBK Nail Lacquers are 7 Free.  If you’re not familiar with the term, you’re going to love it.  7 free means that the polishes are made without 7 potentially harmful chemicals quite often found in nail polish.  LBK Nail Lacquers are all made without Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, TPHP and Xylene.  The brand is also 100% vegan and cruelty-free.

How beautiful are these shades? From Left to Right: Sweet Carolyn, Danyelle’s Desire, Nancy So Fancy and Kylie. LBK Nail Lacquers are 7 free, 100% Vegan and Cruelty-free!

All of the Nail Lacquers are packaged in a glass bottle with a standard brush.  The formula is highly pigmented, easy to apply and dries quickly to a beautiful gel like finish. The polish wore well with no streaking and I found the coverage lasted a good 7-10 days.

If gorgeous shades, the unique flip-up cap, a 7 free, vegan and cruelty free brand aren’t enough reasons to love this polish, here’s another!

The letters LBK in the brand’s name stand for Love by Kemeny, named after the brand’s owner.  He chose the name because of his love for people and wanted it to represent hope and to remind consumers that the company’s bottom line is making customers happy.

There is special meaning behind the names of the nail lacquer shades as well.  They are all named after inspirational women in the owner’s life.  Many of the names reflect hardships that women have overcome.  For example, the shade Daniella’s Resolve (a beautiful baby blue pastel) is based on losing a child to SIDS and being able to overcome it and help other women in their struggle.

I love this.  It’s a rare find in the beauty industry.

LBK Nail Lacquers retail for around $7.50 for 0.45 oz.  You can find them at Walmart and Walgreens.

Disclosure: “I received this product for free from LBK Nail Lacquers.  Although the product was a gift, all opinions in this review remain my own and I was in no way influenced by the company.”

Have you tried LBK Nail Lacquers?  What’s your favorite nail polish shade?  As always, I’d love to hear from you.  Please leave your comments below.  As always, I thank you for stopping by and reading and really appreciate your time!

Until next time…

    • They were in Ulta but it looks like they don’t have any currently in stock. 😞 Hopefully they’ll get some more in. I know LBK just released their Fall Collection so maybe soon!💕💕
