Physicians Formula Nude Wear Touch of Glow Palette Review

I recently discovered this palette and decided to add it to my ridiculously growing collection.  I am somewhat obsessed with highlighters!  The Physicians Formula Nude Wear Touch of Glow Palette is an all in one palette containing four different shades.  Each palette contains a light shade for highlighting, a powder shade for all over use to even out skin tone, a darker shade for use as a bronzer and a blush shade for use as a blush or to accentuate cheeks.  The palette is available in two shades, Light and Medium.

The product promises a perfect balance of transparent and pearlescent shimmer, for an ultra-chic and modern way to glow.  Here’s my take…

Packaging

The packaging of the compact is absolutely adorable.  Very feminine and pretty enough to sit on top of a vanity.  The palette is a multi-tasker, great to carry in your purse for on the go touch-ups.  The brush that is included in the compact is scratchy & sheds and is pretty much useless.  I tossed it and use my own brushes.

Texture & Application

The texture of the powder is creamy and blends effortlessly.  There is no glitter or shimmer (perfect for us over 40 & 50 gals)!  The finish is a nice, subtle sheer glow which I love.

Here is how I apply the four shades in the palette.

Lightest Shade (Top Right in the picture above) I use a highlighter brush to apply the lightest shade to the bridge of the nose, under the eyebrows and to the bow of the lips.  You can also use this shade on the corners of the eyes and lips.  I use the Real Techniques Setting Brush which can be used for highlighting or controlled powder application.

Darkest Shade (Bottom Left in the above picture) Using a contour brush, I apply the darkest (bronze) shade in the hollows of the cheek (make the fishy face and apply to the hollow area under the cheekbone) and down the sides of the nose.  I use the contour brush from the Real Techniques Flawless Face Brush Set.

Light Powder Shade (Top Left in the above picture) Next, I apply the light powder shade very lightly all over the face using my retractable kabuki brush.  This is the brush I carry in my purse with the palette for on the go touch-ups.  I use the Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush.

Pink Blush Shade (Bottom Right in the picture above) Finally, last step, again using the highlighter brush, I apply the pink blush shade on the apples of the cheeks.  I find it too light to use alone as a blush so I normally apply blush and then swirl this around on top of the blush.

The result is a perfect glow!

Overall, I love the Physicians Formula Nude Wear Touch of Glow Palette and would purchase again!
