ChinUp Mask by UpYours Review

If you’re looking for an at home alternative to a face lift and you’ve got 30 minutes to spare, this may be your new BFF!  But does it work?  I’m normally not one to fall for this kind of thing.  I’m a firm believer in the old saying, there’s no such thing as a free lunch!  When the promise is that a 30 minute at home mask is a “non-surgical cosmetic miracle which reduces the appearance of your double chin, sagging jowls or turkey neck in minutes”, needless to say, I’m a bit skeptical.

When the folks at UpYours contacted me and asked if I would like to try and review their ChinUp Mask, I said what the hey, okay, sure… After all, they said the ChinUp Mask was a multi-award winner and winner of the prestigious Pure Beauty’s Best New Facemask and they even include a tape measure with the mask because they are so confident that it works.

That’s right!  They include a tape measure so that you can measure before and after using the mask to see the actual difference.  Who could resist that?

The ChinUp Mask Trial Set includes two masks, a tape measure and this Slimming band which keeps the mask securely in place, to ensure the best possible results.

According to the folks at UpYours, the ChinUp Maskis a revolutionary non-surgical facelift that can improve the appearance of a double chin, sagging jowls or turkey neck, giving a more contoured jaw line in only one 30 minute “salon-at-home” treatment.  It is specifically targeted to the unique needs of your neck and chin for a lifted, firmer and tighter look; providing a first of its kind, non-surgical approach to lift and tighten the appearance of loose, sagging or drooping skin in problem areas around the chin and jaw line by 2cm+ (1 inch).

Again, they include a tape measure so that you can see if you actually achieve a 2cm (1 inch) reduction!

The Benefits of the ChinUp Mask are said to include:
  • Slimming – Boosts the lymphatic system, effectively reducing chin fat
  • Contouring – Performs skin tightening and restores loose & sagging skin
  • Aging Defense – Defends against the visible signs of aging such as fine lines & wrinkles
  • Lifting – Lifts and tightens up the neck and chin area for a more angular facial contour
  • Moisturizing – Gives immediate relief to dry & dehydrated skin
  • Firming – Improves skin activeness and firm’s cheeks, jaw and chin

A pretty tall order I would say!  But the mask does contain some really fantastic anti-aging active ingredients like COQ10, Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E, all of which have been researched, studied and been scientifically proven to deliver anti-aging benefits to the skin.  Two additional active ingredients are Corum 9235 and SKINTRONICS™.  SkinTronics™, patented by the company that makes the Mask, is a Serum developed from cutting-edge Korean skincare science.  It’s rapid action blend is responsible for getting the lifted, firmer look in just 30 minutes that the Mask promises.

ChinUp Mask Review
The active anti-aging ingredients in the Chin Up Mask are impressive. They include COQ10, Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E, Corum 9235 and SKINTRONICS™, the company’s patented Serum that provides a lifted, firmer look.

Included in each ChinUpMask Starter Set are the Tape Measure to measure your chin before and after using the mask; the Slimming Band used to keep the Mask in place; and the star of the show, two treatment Masks.

The instructions say to use the Mask on a clean face, free of any makeup.  The first step is to measure your chin using the tape measure included with the Mask.  Measurements should be taken from earlobe to earlobe around and under the chin.

The next step is to apply the Mask itself and then to secure it with the Slimming Band.  Upon first glance, the Slimming Band looks a little bit intimidating.  It took me a few minutes to figure out exactly how to wrap it around my head.  Once it is in place, you’re going to look really silly and kind of scary for the next 30-45 minutes!  But hey, at least you’re at home where nobody else can see!

The company recommends leaving the mask on 30-45 minutes.  The final step is to remove the Mask and remeasure around and under your chin.

I’ve used the Mask twice, each time I left it on for 30 minutes.  So, what were my results???

ChinUp Mask Review
You’ll notice a slightly tingly, warming sensation after applying the mask. This is normal & means the mask is working!

On the first use of the ChinUp Mask, I measured my chin as instructed, applied the mask and left it on for 30 minutes. Shortly after applying, I began to feel a slightly tingly, warming sensation.  The company mentions this in the instructions and says it is normal and means the mask is working.  After 30 minutes, I removed the mask and was so excited to see what the measurement would be.  The Mask left my skin feeling very moisturized and when I looked in the mirror, I could definitely tell a difference in my jaw line.  It looked firmer and tighter.

Measurement BEFORE the ChinUp Mask:  23cm

Measurement AFTER the ChinUp Mask:  21cm

How exciting!  The Mask actually worked and lifted my chin & jaw line by 2cm or about an inch.  Even my husband noticed something “different”. This is major news because my husband NEVER notices anything.  Even when I ask him if he notices something different and present him with “hints”, he has a hard time figuring out what it is.

But this, he noticed!!

I was curious as to how long the results would last so I measured again on Day 2 in the morning and then once more on Day 3 in the morning.

Measurement on DAY 2 after using the ChinUp Mask:  21.5cm

Measurement on DAY 3 after using the ChinUp Mask:  23cm

So as you can see, the results for me, lasted 2-3 days.

I waited a few days and then used the ChinUp Mask again and my results were exactly the same.

The ChinUp Mask Starter Set which includes the Slimming Band, Measuring Tape and 2 Masks is $47.00 USD.

Refills are 5 Masks for $60.00 USD or 10 Masks for $96.00 USD (around $9.60 – $12.00 USD per mask).

The ChinUp Mask works.  It does exactly what the company says it will do which is a refreshing thing in the anti-aging world.  Granted, the results are temporary but the Mask is not marketed as producing permanent results after a single use.  The company recommends using the Mask 2-3 times weekly to maintain desired results.

If you’re looking for permanent results, this could work but it would cost around $19.00 – $28.00 USD a week or so for 2-3 masks to maintain the results.  Compared to the surgical alternative, it might be worth it if you can afford to add this into your skincare routine budget.

Otherwise, the ChinUp Mask is perfect if you have a special event to attend and want to look your best.  It is a real confidence booster!

I would definitely use this Mask again and would recommend it to anyone who has the need for a firmer, more lifted chin and jaw line.  The price is affordable compared to other Masks and it actually produces real, measurable results!
