My first experience with Ahava came about 25 years ago when my a friend of mine’s sister returned from a missionary trip to Israel and brought gifts! She gave us both tubes of Ahava Hand Cream and I’ve been using it ever since. The scent of this hand cream, Omg …more about that later. But first, for those of you not familiar with Ahava Dead Sea Essentials, here’s a little bit of history on the Brand.
Ahava Dead Sea Laboratories is an Israeli cosmetics company that manufactures skin care products made of mud and mineral-based compounds from the Dead Sea. Ahava product lines include a basic product for all skin types, products for dry, sensitive skin and for men’s skin, and anti-aging products for the face and body. Product lines include Ahava Mineral Hand Cream and Foot Cream, Facial Cleanser, Facial Moisturizer, and Ahava Body Lotion.
Dead Sea mud, alone or in combination with other ingredients, is believed to have benefits for deep cleansing and stimulation of the skin. Minerals extracted from Dead Sea water such as calcium, magnesium and potassium, are said to improve the metabolism, stimulate circulation and aid in the natural repair of cells. In 2009, Ahava Dermud’s range of skincare products has been shown to have protective, anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can improve the effects of UVB radiation on the skin including reducing skin photodamage and photoaging, and reducing oxidative stress and skin inflammation.

Ahava Hand Cream
A favorite of celebrities, Ahava Mineral Hand Cream is a cult classic. As for me, I have really dry hands, especially in the winter months. Just any old wimpy hand cream is not going to do the job! Ahava Hand cream with Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel & Allantoin restores moisture for soft, smooth hands.
- Aloe Vera extract soothes and provide natural moisture
- Witch Hazel extracts smooths skin, providing refreshing, revitalizing effect
- Allantoin heals dry cracked skin and blemishes
It leaves your hands soft & moisturized with no greasy residue and the Smell, Omg…. Amazing! In fact this stuff smells SO good, I wish they would make a body spray or perfume with this scent. It is a clean, fresh scent that reminds me of the ocean and the beach.
Ahava Mineral Botanic Body Lotion
Ahava Mineral Botanic Hibiscus and Fig Body Lotion is perfect for sensitive skin. This lightweight gel-lotion containing Ahava’s exclusive Osmoter concentrate is paraben free and all allergist tested. I love the consistency of this lotion. A mixture between a gel and a cream, it goes on so smoothly and leaves your skin feeling moisturized and smooth. And, the light, fresh scent is lovely.
Ahava’s Dead Sea Salt Mineral Bath
Ahava’s Dead Sea Salt Bath Crystals are 100% natural. Rich in health-enabling minerals, these natural crystals relieve tension and promote a feeling of well-being. I love this in the scent, Natural but it also comes in Eucalyptus and Lavender scents. If long, hot baths are your thing, this is a must have! When you emerge from a bath with these Dead Sea Salts, your muscles and joints will be relaxed! Your skin will feel soft, smooth and refreshingly hydrated. Just don’t stay in too long as you can actually get dehydrated! 20-30 minutes MAX.

Amazing review! I hadn’t heard of this brand but they do seem impressive, especially because they’re making products solely based on minerals from the Dead Sea. That lavender hand cream sounds really good; it’s non-greasy and hydrating? Great! 😀
